OVERVIEW

The University of Massachusetts Herbarium recently acquired the Plant Pathology Herbarium that had been stored in the Department of Plant, Soil and Insect Sciences. The specimens are catalogued and can be searched by pathogen, common pathogen name, or common name of the host. Most were collected between about 1917 and 1950. In addition to the name of the pathogen and the host, many specimens include the collector, collection date and collection locality. It is our intention to make this material available to qualified researchers.
